Marat Falyakhov is appointed Executive Director of BIAXPLEN

Moscow, 11 April 2017. Marat Falyakhov, former CEO of SIBUR's Voronezh-based facility (Voronezhsintezkauchuk), has been appointed Executive Director of BIAXPLEN. Led by Marat Falyakhov, the Voronezh site reached its maximum output in 2016. Mr Falyakhov's extensive experience in production will contribute to BIAXPLEN’s sustainable growth and improved efficiency going forward.

Igor Klimov, formerly BIAXPLEN’s Executive Director, will continue his career at SIBUR as CEO of ZapSibNeftekhim, a production facility currently under construction.

These appointments were made as part of the scheduled senior leadership rotation programme.

Marat Falyakhov was born on 10 April 1975. In 1998, he graduated from the Kazan State Technological University with a degree in Engineering and Technology. In 2000, he graduated from the Volga Academy of Public Administration majoring in Financial Management in State and Municipal Administration. Mr Falyakhov holds a PhD in Chemistry.  2007–2008: Head of Development Department at SIBUR Synthetic Rubbers Division. 2009–2010: Chief Engineer at the Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubbers Plant.  2011–2015: Chief Engineer at Voronezhsintezkauchuk. 2015–2017: CEO of Voronezhsintezkauchuk.

BIAXPLEN is SIBUR’s subsidiary, the largest Russian and one of the leading European producers of biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film.
