Vladimir Razumov was born in 1944 in the Saratov Region and has been with SIBUR since 1999. He has been Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR Holding since 2016 and a member of the Board of Directors of SIBUR Holding since 2013. He is also a member of the Management Board of OOO SIBUR.
In 1967, Vladimir graduated from the Voronezh Technological Institute with a degree in Chemical Machinery and Equipment, in 1980 – from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics with a degree in Industrial Procurement Planning, and in 1989 – from the Academy of National Economy under the USSR Council of Ministers with a degree in Economics and Management of the National Economy.
Vladimir began his career as a mechanic at the Voronezh Synthetic Rubber Plant, where he subsequently held various positions as a design engineer, shop manager, and deputy CEO after graduation. Later on, he was CEO of the Volga Synthetic Rubber Plant, and Head of the Main Committee and Deputy Minister of the USSR Ministry of the Chemical and Oil Processing Industry.
Together with a group of fellows, Vladimir Razumov stood at the origins of SUBUR. “The idea of building a petrochemical facility in Western Siberia goes back to the Soviet era, but then the project never got a green light.
