SIBUR: sustainable development and COVID-19

SIBUR takes consistent and proactive action in response to the country’s epidemiological situation and the spread of COVID-19. The Company is placing major emphasis on protecting its employees and partners, as it seeks to maintain the highest level of customer service and meet the increased demand for materials used in medical products and safe packaging.

SIBUR established a special centre coordinating measures to fight off the coronavirus, including through comprehensive monitoring and interaction with government agencies, and instructed the Committee for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Social Investments to develop a response strategy.

SIBUR became one of the first Russian businesses to introduce a list of preventive measures that helped protect the health and safety of its people.

The pandemic did not impair the Company’s sustainable development objectives as SIBUR continues to prioritise projects that support a circular economy and aims to consistently improve its sustainable development performance.
